I have a friend who has a lower end-system using the AMD E-300 CPU (which is soldered to the motherboard) and the graphics card integrated in this CPU (which is a Radeon HD 6310). The performance on his system is quite bad; mundane tasks take a long time to complete, and even video playback from Youtube (something that my friend would like to do a lot of), is choppy. During all these times, the system is cpu-bound, so most likely that’s where the problem lies.
My question is this: do you think it would be a worthwhile improvement to get a discrete graphics card, and off-load some of the graphics load from the CPU unit? Would that help in any meaningful way? If yes, can you recommend a card? The motherboard has two PCI Express slots (one x1, and one x16), and the case can accommodate only low-profile cards.

I just downloaded League of Legends and I it play with my friends, but everytime a match starts I am the last one to load in.
I have the AMD E-300 APU, with 1,3 GHz clockspeed, and the minimum requirements of the game are 2 GHz. The game runs fine, it’s just the loading that goes slowly.
Is there any way I can overclock my E-300? I don’t care if it will consume alot of power, my laptop is always connected.
I have added a screenshot of my CPU-Z as attachment
I would not waste ANY money on that POS of a laptop. I’d put it up for sale and use the money you get to buy something better. I have personal experience with the next tier up, the E-350, and it is the worst pile of trash I have ever tried to use. It can’t even play 720p YouTube videos without massive stutter on a fresh windows install and 8GB of RAM. Even browsing websites like OCN… scrolling through a thread would cause lag. Tried several browsers too and all had the same result. Don’t waste your money. A SSD is nice but it will not fix a junk CPU.
