Teraz wszedłem do domu, uruchomiłem komputer (który jeszcze działał 3 godziny temu). Pojawiło się jak zwykle “GRUB Loading. Please wait”, by po chwili zobaczyc komunikat “GRUB Error 17”. Co zrobić, by naprawić GRUB-a, by móc uruchamić zarówno Linuksa, jak i Windowsa? W chwili obecnej mam dostęp jedynie do Ubuntu na Live CD.

Jak to zrobić?
Niestety, gdy wpisuje przedostatnia komende (setup (hd0)) to zwraca mi blad 12 (invalid device requested).
Szczerze mówiąc niewiele zrozumiałem z tego, co było tam napisane, więc spróbowałem SuperGrub i udało mi się dotrzeć do menu wyboru systemu (taki jak widziałem codziennie) i gdy wybrałem Windowsa uruchomił się bezbłędnie. Gdy wybrałem zaś Linuksa wyskoczyło mi coś takiego:

Z bootmanagerem już sobie poradziłem- wgrałem MBR z Paragona HD Managera. I po wyborze Windows wszystko wczytuje sie poprawnie, gdy zaś wybrałem Linuksa pojawiło się coś takiego:
Tracę już nadzieję na uratowanie tego Linuksa. 
Wygląda jakby obraz jądra był albo walnięty albo usunięty. Przed wyłączeniem kompa robiłeś jakąś aktualizację lub grzebałeś w systemie?

Jedyne co, to instalowałem rano aktualizacje przez menedżer aktualizacji. Potem chodził przez parę godzin i wszystko działało OK. Potem wyłączyłem komputer i po włączeniu po prostu przestało działać.

I spróbuj jeszcze raz
Niestety. Nie pomogło. Najpierw pojawił się bootmanager z Paragona i Windows zadziałał normalnie, a w Linuksie znowu pojawiło się to:
Odinstalowałem więc menedżer Paragona i teraz mam takie coś:
a windows działa normalnie?
spróbuj wyzerować mbr przez konsole odzyskiwania:
fixmbr
fixboot
i zainstalować gruba od nowa
Windows działa normalnie. Przy wszystkich próbach uruchamiania Windows startował bez problemu. Spróbuję z tym fixmbr, bo fixboot chyba nie jest potrzebny.
Niestety nie pomogło. Windows dalej startuje normalnie, a w konsoli przy próbie instalacji GRUBa pojawiło się takie coś:
Pokaż jeszcze zawartość /etc/fstab.
Pod Gentoo miałem podobny kernel panic i pomogła zamiana wpisów w /etc/fstab oznaczeń dyskówz sda na hda.
Co do powyższego powinno być moim zdaniem root (hd0,6) a nie (hd0,7), ponieważ masz partycję główną z tego co widziałem na sda7 a GRUB liczy partycje od zera.
